International Qur’anic Open University ‘Allow Education of Unsuspecting
Public about Avatar’
(IQOU PRESS RELEASE) In a recent CNN report,
attention was drawn to the fact that some viewers of the movie Avatar
have lost touch with reality and are experiencing bouts with severe
depression and are hence strongly considering suicide. The director of
the movie, James Cameron, stated that Avatar may have been a little too
real for some fans who say they have experienced depression and suicidal
thoughts after seeing the film because they long to enjoy the beauty of
the alien world, Pandora.
We at the International Quranic Open
University (IQOU) are very familiar with this type of behavior, as well
as its causes and cure.
As a premier institution of Islamic
scholarship, IQOU has been offering courses since 1980.Since its
inception, His Eminence Imam El Sheikh Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani, El
Hashmi has served as its only Vice Chancellor. For over three decades,
Imam ElSheikh Gilani has authored many books and produced and
distributed numerous audio and DVD cassettes with discourses on various
topics of interest to Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Most recently, he
has released a two-part DVD set entitled Jinniology, a documentary which
details the existence of non-human beings that exist amongst us and the
ill effects they have on those who partake in black magic and are
adversely affected through subliminal encounters via television, movies
and music, all of which can encourage dangerous and lasting abnormal
psychological consequences.
We are asking CNN for the opportunity to
let people know about Jinn possession, the dangers it presents and the
harm it causes. Right now there is a massive onslaught of Satanic
influences, and we have the remedy to counter its effects. We are
searching for an avenue, be it cinema or perhaps a television program to
show our documentary to the public. We feel very much concerned for the
health of the American public and for the youth, in particular.
Movies,
like Avatar, only cause psychological damage and encourage suicide and
abnormal behavior for the uninformed of what the reality truly is. As
stated, we need the means to reach the masses and to get our message
out. One cannot help but wonder what the motives are for producing and
releasing such movies churned out by Hollywood that only serve to teach
foul language and entices viewers to adopt socially unacceptable
conduct.
A clue might be found in the Vatican’s publication the
L’Osservatore, when it said the film “gets bogged down by a spiritualism
linked to the worship of nature.” Similarly, Vatican Radio said Avatar
“cleverly winks at all those pseudo-doctrines that turn ecology into the
religion of the millennium.” “Nature is no longer a creation to defend,
but a divinity to worship,” the radio said. The comments of Vatican
spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, do reflect Pope Benedict XVI’s
views on the dangers of turning nature into a “new divinity.”
If this
Satanic technology in movies and the internet is left unabated then who
amongst our youth will be left to defend our country and our ideals?
America must wake up to this present danger. We trust that the
opportunity will be afforded to educate the unsuspecting and uninformed
public about an aspect of life that is of common knowledge to those in
the East. There are so many who are searching for an understanding of
the meaning of existence and to live a happy life, only to be bombarded
with a “fantasy” so called virtual reality that, unfortunately, leaves
them open to be preyed upon by those “spirits that tend on mortal
thoughts” -as so eloquently put by Shakespeare.
The need of the hour
is dire.
