Elections: New Hope For Pakistan
By Abu Rashid Qadri
Islamic Post Staff Writer
An appeal by the Vice Chancellor of Intl Quranic Open University and Gadee Nasheen of the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Mian Mir Qadree. Lahore to fulfill our ancestor’s (The Holy Last Messenger’s (peace be upon him)) agenda, and also to safeguard the honor of the Holy Family by not exposing the most honored ladies in public.
On the 24th of March, Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani was chosen by Pakistan’s National Assembly to become its new Prime Minister. The anticipation of who would assume the office of such a pivotal position in a struggle for power in its new government had finally been put to rest.
With a newly formed government in place many remain riveted, in their chairs, anxious to examine every critical change and its probable repercussion. Ever since the U.S. led invasion of Afghanistan and President Musharraf’s decision to join President Bush’s “War On Terror”, Pakistan, a nation in turmoil, has suffered a wave of violent instability. The imposing of martial law, the crack down on extremist elements, the assault on the “Red Mosque”, the dismissal of the judiciary and the belief of many that Pakistan is “too friendly” with Bush have all contributed
to the nations volatility.
The postponement of elections after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto only served to heightened tensions even further. Many believed strongly that the government had played a clandestine role in the assassination of the opposition leader. A glimmer of hope and optimism for the future of Pakistan and Muslims worldwide emerged when the new Prime Minister, accepted the challenge and responsibility of this most pivotal position in Pakistan’s new government. The new Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani is a direct descendent of the Sheikh of Baghdad, El Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Gillani (ra), who departed from this world in 1166CE/561AH.

Why American Muslims Travel To Pakistan to Meet Imam Gillani
By
Abu Rashid Qadri
Islamic
Post Staff Writer
Other than traveling to Pakistan to
propagate Islam, visit historic sites and shrines and to render humanitarian
aide, 60% of the American Muslim population travel to Pakistan to receive
treatment and remedies for diseases that American doctors had deemed “incurable”.
Reports documenting these facts have been made available for the last twenty or
more years.
Despite this much publicized fact
American Muslims traveling to Pakistan from JFK Airport, in New York City, are
often targeted and singled out, harassed, detained and interrogated without any
probable cause. One of the more recent tactics devised by airline personnel is
to place a “special” stamp on the travel documents of these traveling Muslims.
This stamp alerts so-called security personnel who immediately initiate the
humiliation and segregation of these American Muslims. From that point on,
where-ever they travel and whenever they travel, they are labeled as “suspected
terrorists’” although there is absolutely no evidence to substantiate their unwarranted
claims.
Imam Gillani is the foremost pioneer
and reviver of the specific Islamic Science of the use of Holy Quran and prayer
in curing so-called incurable diseases. This science is known as Gillani
Methodology. Many travel to Pakistan to receive treatment when western doctors
had given up hope that there was any cure for their disease. Documentation and
testimonials are readily available where Imam Gillani has demonstrated, beyond
doubt, the healing capabilities of Gillani Methodology.
Not all have to travel to Pakistan to
benefit from this extremely effective treatment. Imam Gillani has been able to
diagnosis and prescribe treatment for patients in distant lands on numerous
occasions. Below, several such cases are cited:

THE EARLY LIFE OF SULTANUL
AWLIYA HAZRAT
SHAIKH SAYYID ABDUL QADIR
JILANI
(Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh)
Hazrat Shaikh Junaid Baghdadi (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh)
lived two hundred years before Sarkaar-e- Ghaus-e-Azam Hazrat Shaikh Sayyid
Abdul Qadir Jilani (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) and foretold his coming in the
following manner. Once while he was in a state of spiritual ecstasy, he stated,
“His foot
is on my shoulders, his foot is on my shoulders.” After he
had come out of this spiritual condition, his
disciples questioned him concerning these words and he
said, “I have been informed that a great saint will be born towards the end of
the fifth century. His name shall be Abdul Qadir and his title will be Muhiyyudeen.
He will be born in Jilan and he will reside in Baghdad. One day, on the command of Allah, he will say, “My foot is on
the shoulders of all the Awliyah Allah.” While in my spiritual condition, I saw
his excellence and these words were uttered by me without my control.”

Excerpted from Rauza
Tus-Safa
Sayyidah Amina (Alayhas-Salaam) related that just before her confinement her
whole body trembled for a very short time, and after that she saw the house
excessively illuminated, so that fright and terror overcame her, and she felt a
white bird rubbing its wings against her. When her apprehensions vanished
she felt very thirsty; then an extrememly white beverage was given her, which
she imagined was milk, but drinking thereof she found it more sweet than
honey. After that she beheld a number of women of tall stature, whom she
considered to be maidens of the Bani Abd Manaf.

The Holy Last Messenger, Sallallahu alayhi wa Sallam, had the mildest
of temperaments of all, he was the bravest of all, just of all and
pious of all. His blessed hand never touched a woman not lawful to him.
His generosity was incomparable, to such an extent that at the end of
the day not a single dinar was left with him. If by chance any
remained, he would not return till the late hours of the night, waiting
for someone to take it away. Whatever assets the Almighty had given him
he would use them only for his immediate needs, like food, the
remaining would be distributed. His food, too, was very simple, mostly
dates and barely.

This writing concerns the question of the ruling (hukm) that the father and mother of The Prophet (Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim) are (believed to be) saved and not in Hellfire. This has been declared by the majority of the scholars, and in reaching that declaration they have several methods (masalik).
