It has been over twenty-eight years since my first meeting with Pir Mubarik Ali Gilani; I was 16 years old then. My first impression was long lasting; he is; by far the most charismatic, intelligent, loving and truthful person I have thus far had the pleasure of knowing. He is the shade under which weary hearts take rest. One has only to meet him to know that the allegations being hurled against him cannot possibly be true. He needs no defense for the veracity of his character speaks for itself. For close to 30 years he established one program after another to raise the social, economical, spiritual and moral status of people around the world. His words of wisdom are not limited to the Muslim as some would have you believe, but are universal for all seeking unity with their Creator. He asks for nothing yet has given everything. His is an undertaking is the same as that of the Holy Nabi Muhammad ibn Abdullah (Sall Allaahu alayhi was salaam) which is simply to remind people of their duty to Almighty Allah. There are many examples of his willingness to aid mankind. These are just a few so that you may come to know him. When the earthquake in his native Pakistan hit he was there, he personally went to the scene of the devastation. He arranged to have food, clothes, and medical supplies, collected from his students in the United States and continues to do so. A medical team was formed under his direction and was sent to a local hospital there, providing care to patients no matter what their social, economical or caste status. He did this without fanfare. Why wasn’t this publicized in the news? Wasn’t it newsworthy enough or was it because this would then dispel the lies being told?

I was born in this country, the United States of America, and have lived in the southern regions all of my life; where family, friends, neighborly love, honor and respect were part of our fiber, our culture. Coming into Islam and following the teachings and guidance of Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani, may ALLAH be pleased and protect him, as HE is The Best Protector, has refined my very existence. No longer do I do those things that would not benefit my soul or those around me. My daily goal now is to see how I can strive to contribute SOMETING to those around me; those who are lost, and to purify myself to get closer to The One Almighty Creator and Sustainer of all the Worlds and all they contain. He, Sheikh Gilani, has taught us a way out of this world’s indignity, he has shown us how to live in this world with honor and integrity. It never ceases to amaze me how the good people of this life are looked upon as suspect and the bad guys who claim to be all about goodness and light are honored and emulated. I think it must have something to do with money and prestige. People like that and they want it, they act as sycophants on with those in possession of it hoping to gain some for themselves. While the owners of these dubious and most often ill gotten honors are doing all sorts of unethical and perhaps immoral acts to maintain their little fiefdoms. On the other hand there are people who sincerely work for the good of mankind who are never left alone by the ‘powers that be’ because they are making a significant difference in the world and with the people they're helping, but that is not what the ‘powers that be’ want. What they want are lovers of mammon, hedonists and automatons, people who will follow blindly the most popular trend at any time, and those who do not question but accept and believe the lies, for their own personal comfort. The truth about my beloved and most honorable sheikh is that in the past thirty years he has taught thousands how to lead better lives; to be honest and honorable, upright and true. He teaches the men how to be men, telling them to wed their women and work to earn for their families, and they have. Thousands of marriages and hundreds of children from many hundreds of families still intact with the father as head of household and children not on the streets is testimony to the benefit our murshid has brought to this society. How many of these men would have died of drug overdoses, in prison or beaten somehow on the streets by this societies cruelties if not for his instruction on how to lead a clean life in accordance with the dictates of our creator Allah Almighty. Sheikh Syed Mubarik Shah Gilani has established so many programs to help those in need. While we are in our beds sleeping comfortably he is up working for Allah's sake. Lovers of Allah never sleep at night. He is always helping the poor, the needy, the less fortunate, and always working to better us in the community and he asks nothing from us! In the words of a companion of mine, "Abu G is a reformer and he has reformed me!”

Yes, I love Sheikh Mohyuddin Syed Mubarik Ali Gilani with all my Heart, because he has made me who I AM! Yes, he came to us 27 years ago, when I was a child. Not a lost child yet but so close to becoming one; living in Queens NY, waiting for self destruction. This great and honorable man came to a group of men, one being my father and explained to them the damage of raising their families in ghetto's of the city where crime, drugs, and corruption were on the rise; where adultery and fornication was the highlight of your Saturday, and where lewd and adulterated music screamed through the streets from peoples' cars and homes. When I walked to the library my mother held her breath not knowing if she would ever see me again. Yes this honorable man that we call father told us to leave these places to save ourselves. He told us to go to places where we can be good Muslims and outstanding citizens. He told us to establish villages where we could practice our religion in clean environments. He urged us to rid ourselves of the filth of the cities. He tells us to become doctors, engineers, lawyers, and politicians. We pray 5 times a day, we help the poor, we aid the needy and we live as peace loving human beings. Sheikh Mubarik Shah Gilani’s words to be not only truthful but they speak to my heart As a woman, wife, mother and daughter, the tribulations many of us experience are vast. It is during these times of difficulty that many people seek a deeper understanding of God and our purpose here on earth. What I have learned from and have been reminded of by his Eminence Mubarik Shah Gilani is that: There is only one Almighty Creator. He sees and knows all that we do and we will return to Him. Every human being has a choice. They can enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil which is in conjunction with what the Almighty requires, or our time on earth can be wasted by being corrupt, evil, deceitful and uncaring towards mankind which is in conjunction with Satan the accursed plans.

HE HAS RESTORED MY SOUL
There is no doubt, had I missed the coming of this great master, what my life would be like, turmoil. However, at the rate I was going prior to accepting Al-Islam, I may have been a threat to my fellow neighbors, friends and even my family. El-Sheikh Gilani is a true Sufi master, please read his books, this great man has changed my and is changing peoples lives all over the world I was born during the early 60,s and I witnessed racism, police brutality, and even government abuses. Seventy-Five years ago we as African Americans were considered only one-fourth of a human being. We were even told that we didn’t have a soul. No one wanted us, loved or cared for our future. Almighty Allah inspired our Sheikh during the late 1970,s while he was in seclusion to come to America. Our Sheikh told us that he thought his mission was to come to the Native Americans. He told us our Allah heard the prayers of our forefathers and our asking for a leader that would lead us to true Deen (way of life). Sheikh Gilani began healing us and purifying us, and gave us glad tidings, teaching us that we are the best of man kind and that we do have a soul. HE HAS RESTORED MY SOUL Allah Be Thanked, My Murshid Has Given Me Purpose And ComfortI was about 5 or 6 years old when I first met my beloved Murshid, Sultan Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani Al Hashmi. There was a peace that overcame me and I immediately greeted him with a kiss. Along with some other children I sang the song “Who is Sheikh Gilani?” Unbeknownst to me, the song that I had sang many years ago would be the question that I would have to answer many times over because of hate, ignorance and malicious intent. Why would people conjure up countless lies and insults about a person who is the total opposite? I remember how my mother used to tell me stories of the civil rights era when she was sprayed with fire hoses, tear gas and injured by dogs; all of this, because a person desired civil rights. Years later, my Beloved Sheikh only wishes to do Allah’s will and that is to give His servants freedom, education and productive living. Water hoses and dogs have somewhat been replaced with lies, deceit and slander.
What my Sheikh says and does, I try my earnest to mirror. Why? Because He mirrors my Beloved King Muhammad Mustafa Sall Allaahu alayhi wa aalihi wassallam. I have lived, ate and sat before his eminence many times. I have learned from him via in person and multimedia. Never, and I repeat, never have I witnessed my Beloved Sheikh violating, Shariah (Islamic Law), the Sunnah, the 10 commandments, or human rights. Can I say the same for my politicians, reporters, authors, etc? NO, I CANNOT!!! My Sheikh has done nothing but tirelessly worked day and night to improve the lives of so many. He is continuously working on unifying Muslims, Christians and Jews. Allah’s will, will be done! My Murshid will be successful in this mission because his goal is the pleasure of Allah. Multiple Sclerosis Defeated
"After a second opinion at Cedars Sinai, I was diagnosed with this disease in 2002. I have seven-7 enhancing brain lesions and one-1 lesion on my spine. My symptoms were numbness/severe discomfort from my waist down; extreme pain in my left-tibia; swollen/tingling feet that ached and bouts of depression. I was using a cane and was advised by physicians that I would probably end life in a wheelchair at best. I asked Sultan Mohyuddin Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani for help. I knew of his renowned international reputation as a “healer” of human illnesses. I knew he used words from the holy book of Islam, the Quran, to administer to those having rare or incurable disorders. He gave me a prescription, to be used once, that entailed repeating the words of Allah (God) beginning on Friday, the Muslim Sabbath." "A Brief Note referring to my Beloved Sheikh" Assalamu Alaikum! This happens to be a fairly easy subject for me to write about. I am offended that I need to defend my Imam, my Murshid, my Sheikh and Friend, the Honorable Syed Mubarik Ali Gilani Wal Hashimi Wal Hussaini. However, I am pleasured and honored to do so. Shah Sahib became a part of my life when I was a young man in my mid 20's. I am now entering my mid 50's and really, at this point in my life, have had a successful religious career as well as a successful corporate career. It has been my beloved Murshid that has molded me and prepared me for both theaters in life. Shah Sahib has laid the foundation of my value system both religiously and socially for the past 30 years AlhamdulilLah! He has taught me and has led me through his example and demonstration of our Blessed Nabi Pak, Rasooli Akram (saw). And again, through this example I have found success in all the paths of my life and I thank Allah for creating this synergy and allowing me to be a student of this blessed family member of the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him forever). A Healer, A Mercy and an Educator
"Contrary to so much slanderous news reports of this humble servant of Allah’s character, just a few minutes with him would win the heart of any God fearing man or woman. Labeling him a terrorist is nothing short of slander; but who can he lodge a protest with? Almighty God alone. He doesn’t have the big dollars like our greasy politicians and elected officials who slide and side step even fines for some of the disgusting things they have been caught red handed doing and continue to do. These so called reporters are really preachers of hate and seek to divide the inevitable joining of our Christian brothers who like us Muslims love Jesus son of Mary (may Allah’s peace be on him) and obey the Ten Commandments." He did not come to us asking -- he came giving. His suitcases were emptied as he paid off credit card debts; delinquent rents and utility bills. He showed us respect, will not be offered; it has to be earned. We left the welfare rolls. We raised money by selling our entrapments. We left the tenements and the ghettos. We took our children from schools where they were being taught how to fornicate, end up single parents back on welfare, and took responsibility for their education. Now we have nurturing two-parent families, doctors, lawyers, teachers and engineers -- productive, tax paying members of society. He taught me to “practice Islam with sincerity, in letter and spirit” and that “hearts are won with love” This is overwhelming and very emotional for me to relate how my blessed Murshid Kamil Sultan Mohyuddin Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani has impacted my life. It is through him that I found the way to live a truly successful life in this world and the hereafter. He lifted me up out of the darkness of misguidance and gently, with much love, generosity, kindness, tolerance, patience, understanding, indeed with every imaginable excellent quality that the task demands, did he revive, educate and inspire me. Even up to today, he constantly bestows, for the sake of Allah, by the Mercy of the Almighty, his unconditional love and guidance, inviting all to truth and goodness, be he Muslim or non Muslim, without asking or expecting anything in return. He taught me to “practice Islam with sincerity, in letter and spirit” and that “hearts are won with love”; that we must live as honorable, self respecting, dignified and productive members of society, exemplifying the luminous, noble conduct of the Holy Last Messenger Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). Although I was raised Muslim my entire life, being around him I learned the true beauty of Islam for the first time! When I hear of the negative remarks that have been stated against my blessed Murshid, it offends me greatly. A few years ago I may not have cared so much but as of Oct 22nd 2005 I have come to care a great deal. In October of 2005 I had the opportunity to go to Pakistan to provide medical relief for the victims of the earthquake that devastated many parts of an area referred to as the Southwest territory. I was initially excited about this trip because my medical school was allowing me to use this as an away rotation. Additionally I thought this experience would enhance the appeal of my CV (which is like a resume). Arriving in Pakistan all I could think about was what a wonderful medical experience this would be. Little did I know that by the end of the journey I would come away with so much more! This realization started on my first meeting with my Murshid. Read these letters in their entirety It is by his guidance that I have come to know the value of the American Constitution and the Bill of Rights. My husband and I have raised four daughters here in South Carolina. They are all married and they are now raising their families here in the South as well. All of our girls have some college education; two of them are college graduates, one with a post graduate degree. In dispute of what these articles would suggest, most of us are not criminals. Our Imam/ Guide did not recruit prisoners. He has taught us and continues to teach us that in this country of ours, where we have rights to practice our faith, forbidden to so many people in so many other parts of the world that we are to follow the laws of our country. My father was a veteran of the Second World War and my mother worked in munitions factories during that time when so many Americans made sacrifices to support their country during those times to protect the world from tyranny. I am very proud of both my parents' roles during World War II.
We are living in very difficult times. The world has gotten smaller. Many unfortunate peoples are suffering all over the world. Many are being oppressed. We in this community have spent years, visiting refugee camps overseas and trying to offer aid in monies and education to those who are oppressed, As we are Muslims and most of the refugees and oppressed peoples are Muslims, we have, as so many Christians have, done mission work amongst Muslim peoples. We also had a group of our Scouts at ground zero, helping after 911. We also had groups go to Louisiana and Texas after Hurricane Katrina.
I am not trying to paint an idyllic picture of all Muslims. That would not only be untrue, but it would also be misleading. We are people with the foibles of any other people, The difference between us and some others, is that we have clear direction how to carry on our lives. Our religious life is not separated from our spiritual lives. No doubt that the life of this world has many attractions and some of us get caught in its web. Unlike Christianity, we have not monasteries and convents to which we can escape the life of this world. We are taught to live in this world, but not to be of this world. That is very difficult, indeed. But that is what we strive to do. Read this letter in its' entirety

"Being under the direct guidance of a El Sheikh Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani is keeping me away from every sin that is advertised by the Zionist media and has kept me away from every sin that has become popular in the United States and the Western World abroad. I am a happily married man, who prepared for marriage at the age of 19 as a virgin! This is almost unheard of in the Western Society and the United States. El Sheikh Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani encourages his true followers to marry, when financially and physically able. This helps rescue and save communities from diseases that have intruded the Western Society. What my LOVING KING encourages, is also what the venerable Jesus Son of Mary (Peace be unto him) and the Holy Bible encourages: (Corinthians 6:13b, 18 tells us, "Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without (outside) the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.") Out of the many lectures and discourses we have received from El Sheikh Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani throughout the years, I always remember my LOVING KING saying '...become good citizens [of America], become doctor and lawyers, stay away from crime...' I am currently 3 semesters away from earning my degree in business (this is encouraged by the LOVING KING El Sheikh Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani)." The loving attention, patience and nurturing I received under the guidance of this Falcon of Allah, Sultan of Awyliyah (Saints) produced a rebirth within me. There was an awareness of being in the presence of my Creator at all times that I had taken for granted. The realization that my Lord loved me and was waiting for me to love him fully overwhelmed me. I now worship my Creator with a clear understanding that He is closer to me than my jugular vein. My Sheikh has bestowed an unlimited fountain of knowledge and deep and ancient wisdom upon his Talibeen (students). These treasures enable the seeker to travel though this world and reach the next world in harmony with his Lord who created him. My Beloved Murshid, El Sheikh Syed Gilani, is a Gift of Love The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sall Allahu alaihi wa sallam) is a Mercy to All the Worlds, Bringer of the Divine Book, the Holy Qur’an. Both are guidelines for righteous living...one, the perfect, universal man, the other, the perfect, universal book …one, alive for you to follow …the other, alive for you to feel in your secret place...your spirit. And El Sheikh Gilani has taken the Sufi art of the teachings of the Holy Last Messenger and The Great Knowledge of the Holy last Scripture and in this, the 15th century of Islam, (a time of contrast between the rising light of truth and the darkness of hate and destruction of the ungodly) and directed us to become a smarter, stronger, yet simple people. Now we are educators, healers and reformers…noble American Muslims! Yes, we are American citizens, and we are aware of our rights and duties. And El Sheikh Gilani taught us to open our hearts and our eyes. He has taught us to beware the trickery of cameras, spliced tapes and half truths used to fool an otherwise distracted, but normally good-hearted American Public. The devious master-minds use tools of deceit. Deceit produced by well thought out and so-called progressive devices such as immoral movies, video games, drugs, fear-factors, etc. to seduce the American people into thinking that these pioneers, the Muslims of the Americas on a Quest for Truth- (your Muslim neighbors, relatives and friends) are suddenly all pumped up by al-Qaeda and about to ATTACK! But ask yourself, when you have ever heard a Muslim person that you know ever say, “I follow al-Qaeeda?" A Message to the Haters of El Sheikh Gilani- After viewing and reading some of the hateful lies about El Sheikh Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani, it has become apparent that there is desperation in this smear campaign. At first I was puzzled why a man who has done….nay, who is doing so much good would be so vilified. Now it is apparent that in addition to the ranting of the pitifully ignorant, we are facing the onslaught of the lap dog agents of the forces of darkness and evil.
I seek not to defend El Sheikh Gilani for he needs no defense. His work speaks for itself. Furthermore, El Sheikh Gilani has the Protection of Almighty Allah and His Angels.
The people who are attacking El Sheikh Gilani know that his true followers embrace him because he has provided the best example for anyone who has embraced the way of the Beloved Last Messenger of God Almighty Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon him eternally). El Sheikh Gilani has educated his followers about the true message and life style of The Holy Last Messenger (PBUH). His true followers, whether, they are converts or born into Muslim families embrace moral, decent, honorable lifestyles---based upon the Laws of The Almighty, as documented in the Ten Commandments revealed to The Prophet Moses (Peace be upon him), and exemplified by Jesus, son of Mary (Peace be upon him) --- the Laws which are preserved eternally in The Noble Qur’an , the Clear Revelation given to El Sheikh Gilani’s Grand Ancestor, The Mercy to all mankind, The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). I am writing this email in an effort to express my love and gratitude to our beloved Murshid, Sheikh Gilani. I am a practicing Muslim, who has been, and is under the guidance and leadership of this great man. He has taught me how to love the Creator of all mankind (Allah, Glory be to the Most High), His Holy Rasool, Nabi Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) and mankind in general. He has informed me that I should love my parents, respect them, and take care of them, even if they are not Muslim. This is a parent's right. He has taught me to love and care for my children, as they are only on loan to me from my Creator. This is my children's right. He has showed me how to be a lady of honor with self respect, dignity, manners, and good morals. As a wife, he has given me the skills to be a good wife, respectful to my husband, and a good companion, and soul mate. This is the right of my husband.

Islamberg is my home. Wherever I go, those mountains, hills, and rich earth are a part of me. ."..With further
promise, the years that followed were even more of what my experience was that
first weekend in the Muslim village of Islamberg, New York. Winters are
crystallized in my mind where we children would sled and slide along the great
hills along with Islamic holidays and parades every year that boasted song and
praises of Allah (SWT) and His Beloved, Syedina Muhammad Mustafa
Now more importantly, as I look at the fruits of this experience, myself a recent Master’s in Education graduate and Certified Teacher for the State of New York, I cannot deny that a great debt is owed for the richness in the exchange of living under such nurturing circumstances. All my companions who shared living in the village are now lawyers, nurses, engineers, etc. and are successful upstanding Muslims who contribute and are a tribute to the Islamic village in which they were groomed, as well as the surrounding communities and, by extension, our country.
For me, the city had neither promise nor hope. I was rescued from ghettoes that have now escalated far beyond what they were in the early eighties and proof lies obvious in friends and associates who stayed behind and are now misplaced on those same dark streets and alleyways; friends and associates who have sadly lost their lives, literally or figuratively. "When I found out I had a brain tumor I went my Beloved Murshid for advice. He prescribed me a Quranic Therapy regimen that I performed for approximately 5 months. The benefits of the therapy had normalized all of my hormone levels. They had previously been astronomically off the charts. Immediately prior to having my surgery performed I had to be rushed in for an MRI because of all my hormone levels being normal. The doctors wanted to verify to see if my tumor had minimized or even went away." Read the letter in its' entirety The most recent event that has happen in my life was the hospitalization of my youngest son Muhammad Anwar. He had been complaining of sever stomach pains for a few days, till the point he had to be taken to the emergency room in Binghamton, NY. The doctors examined him and ran test on his blood, urine, and stool but found nothing, and then they gave him an MRI which revealed a blocked or swollen tissue between his large and small intestine. To make a long story short, he was eventually transferred so Syracuse, NY to a specialist because the pain got worse and the doctors had no answers; one doctor even made mention to cancer, or crones disease. At this point one of our senior ladies contacted El Sheik Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani for help. In spite of his enormous workload and tireless efforts he took time aside to send a treatment for my son. He instructed that certain ayahs of Holy Quran should be recited over water and given to Muhammad Anwar to drink. This was done, however he had refused to eat or drink anything do to the pain. My wife started rubbing the water on his stomach every time the pain would come, in a short time his temperature went down to normal and the pain went away, then he began to drink the blessed water. After several days in the hospital, With no improvement and no answers he began recovering with the treatment given to him by My Murshid (may Allah bless and protect him always) and was released from the hospital a few days later. poorly express my delight in the freedom and independence to celebrate Islam, to
live peacefully along Christian neighbours who would hear the adhan and remark
how beautiful it was, and seeing them smile broadly with recognition of our
deliverance to purity and morality when they would attend the affairs that took
place in the village.
