Greetings To All That This Letter May Reach,
My name is Mustafa Hamid, I was born in Brooklyn N.Y. I’m the 9th child of ten. As a young man I reverted to Al-Islam during the early 80’s. Prior to accepting Deen (way of life) I was a lost individual; I had little knowledge of my Creator as well as a lack of understanding in terms of proper marital conduct, the importance of good manners towards my parents and fellow neighbors. Six months after Shahada (after becoming Muslim), I learned of a man by the name of Syed Mubarik Ali Gilani (may Allah bless him for ever and ever). Hearing this man speak was no more then echoes from heaven imitating the mission of Abraham, Noah, Moses. Jesus, and Muhammad (SallAllaahu alayhi was sallam and peace and blessings upon all of them). He taught me and is still teaching us how to be good parents, law abiding citizens, business men\women and most of all, God fearing human beings. There is no doubt, had I missed the coming of this great master, what my life would be like, turmoil. However, at the rate I was going prior to accepting Al-Islam, I may have been a threat to my fellow neighbors, friends and even my family. El-Sheikh Gilani is a true Sufi master, please read his books, this great man has changed my and is changing peoples lives all over the world I was born during the early 60,s and I witnessed racism, police brutality, and even government abuses. Seventy-Five years ago we as African Americans were considered only one-fourth of a human being. We were even told that we didn’t have a soul. No one wanted us, loved or cared for our future. Almighty Allah inspired our Sheikh during the late 1970,s while he was in seclusion to come to America. Our Sheikh told us that he thought his mission was to come to the Native Americans. He told us our Allah heard the prayers of our forefathers and our asking for a leader that would lead us to true Deen (way of life). Sheikh Gilani began healing us and purifying us, and gave us glad tidings, teaching us that we are the best of man kind and that we do have a soul. This great man took us out of the ghettos of America, he accepted us when no one wanted us. During this time, crack, cocaine, and Uzis; our population was at risk of great destruction. Strangely no one was called a terrorist. Yes, Sheikh Gilani saved us and is still saving people from all walks of life. Read his books, news papers, C D’s and if you wish to give an opinion let it be a God fearing one.
We love Sheikh Gilani, his family, and followers (Muslims, Christians, etc). It is painful with out a doubt to read and listen to the lies and propaganda being spread by the haters of Syedina Muhammad (SallAllaahu alayhi was Sallam) and Jesus the son of Mary, (May peace and blessing be upon them both).
Sheikh Gilani has taught us to love our Lord and bring no harm to others but instead, to embrace our Christian brothers, to live in peace, and be a benefit to all man kind. My story is a one man’s story, but I assure you that Sheikh Gilani has and is still helping and curing hundreds if not thousands of people throughout the world. My family and I love him because he has changed our lives, and yes, I can say, I have a soul. May Allah bless him and his family forever and ever!
