Hello my name is Shazia A.Qadriyah and I am a student of His Eminence Sultan Mohyuddin Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani, Vice Chancellor of the International Quranic Open University and founder of MOA (Muslims of the Americas). In most recent years as well as in the past decades both the VC and MOA have been under the scrutiny of mass media as well as other religious groups mainly because, in their view, he is either a threat to their malicious scheme or because he is the revival of Islam, which is a mortal enemy and threat to both. This is dated back further than Columbus and Native Americans though the metaphor has always been " Kill the Indian and save the man" because something or someone who is hard to understand is perceived as calamitous, harmful and extremely dangerous so too is one who exposes the plot of the socialist schemer’s to destroy and ultimately delete human morals, intelligence and ability to function independently. However Mr. Gilani whom I like to refer to as Abu (Arabic for father) is a humanitarian aide both in spirit and by nature , he was taught by his parents (who are not only descendants of the Holy last Messenger Muhammad [May Allah's Mercy and blessings be upon him] but his followers as well) and teaches to give man his due rights awarded to them by Allah (GOD) and to take care of the needs of others spiritually, morally, and physically; and in so doing has brought many youths off the streets away from crime and out of the darkness of ignorance and has personally given my life meaning and purpose by teaching me that man is not to be like an animal whose head is in the dirt wondering with neither choice nor direction who only eats , utilizes , procreates and sleeps without any real purpose besides to serve Mankind whom Allah has created superior by enabling to choose, rationalize and obtain knowledge of both himself and his creator { one can obtain more information on this subject by viewing the VC's discourse on the Ascent of Man/ attainable at Zavia Books or Baitun Noor gift shop Holy Islamville SC}. He has also given me something that is ultimately priceless and that's Family, in our community we have been blessed to have over four generations amongst us, not tucked away in nursing homes or day care but home living around each other benefiting from both the elders wisdom as well as the youths eagerness and enthusiasm for life. It would take a life time ( or maybe a well written book) to describe who my Abu is to me as well as what he has brought into this world and what he will take when he returns to the next, but for now you must know that he is a God-fearing man who wishes the best for all and is always ready and willing to help the next person, he has given me a new life ,one alien to ignorance and immorality filled with happiness and peace which is found in the remembrance of God.
