He, Sheikh Gilani, has taught us a way out of this world’s indignity, he has shown us how to live in this world with honor and integrity. It never ceases to amaze me how the good people of this life are looked upon as suspect and the bad guys who claim to be all about goodness and light are honored and emulated. I think it must have something to do with money and prestige. People like that and they want it, they act as sycophants on with those in possession of it hoping to gain some for themselves. While the owners of these dubious and most often ill gotten honors are doing all sorts of unethical and perhaps immoral acts to maintain their little fiefdoms. On the other hand there are people who sincerely work for the good of mankind who are never left alone by the ‘powers that be’ because they are making a significant difference in the world and with the people they're helping, but that is not what the ‘powers that be’ want. What they want are lovers of mammon, hedonists and automatons, people who will follow blindly the most popular trend at any time, and those who do not question but accept and believe the lies, for their own personal comfort. The truth about my beloved and most honorable sheikh is that in the past thirty years he has taught thousands how to lead better lives; to be honest and honorable, upright and true. He teaches the men how to be men, telling them to wed their women and work to earn for their families, and they have. Thousands of marriages and hundreds of children from many hundreds of families still intact with the father as head of household and children not on the streets is testimony to the benefit our murshid has brought to this society. How many of these men would have died of drug overdoses, in prison or beaten somehow on the streets by this societies cruelties if not for his instruction on how to lead a clean life in accordance with the dictates of our creator Allah Almighty. This in a society where black men are traditionally emasculated, and bisexuality and homosexuality are in vogue, is not criminal but phenomenal. In today's society where unwed mother's spew out bastard children, where women are encouraged to see themselves and sell themselves as sexual commodities in order to get ahead and do better in life, where the welfare roles are full of women on their own many of whom work and still cannot earn enough to take care of their children. He, Sheikh Gilani, has taught us a way out of this world’s indignity, he has shown us how to live in this world with honor and integrity. He has taught us how to be better parents, husbands and wives, and he teaches our children to be leaders, not ignorant disciples of the new age worshipping the idols of men. Above all he has taught us that there is no God but Allah, that Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon him, is his Holy Last Messenger, and that if we trust in Allah Almighty all our needs will be met, and we have learned that they are. In my opinion the people who are fomenting the lies about Pir Gilani ought to be honoring him for all the good work he has done in our society. In fact they would do well to pattern programs after his teachings all over America; they would do that if they had the best interest of the people at heart. But I don't believe they do. I believe the reason the stories are kept up about our Sheikh is fear, they are afraid that he will radically change this society for the better so they create lies and intrigue to defame our murshid and dissuade the public from the truth.
