Not long ago, I was at a point in my life where I was searching for spiritual fulfillment. I am a Muslim that listens to sermons by religious leaders of other faiths. I find that they speak words or share opinions that can be applied to my own life and experiences. Bishop T.D. Jakes and Joel OSteen are two of today’s Christian leaders whose words are oft times positive, comforting, motivating and catalysts for self-reflection. However, I have found Sheikh Mubarik Shah Gilani’s words to be not only truthful but they speak to my heart in a language only my heart understands.

As a woman, wife, mother and daughter, the tribulations many of us experience are vast. It is during these times of difficulty that many people seek a deeper understanding of God and our purpose here on earth. What I have learned from and have been reminded of by his Eminence Mubarik Shah Gilani is that:

There is only one Almighty Creator. He sees and knows all that we do and we will return to Him.

Every human being has a choice. They can enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil which is in conjunction with what the Almighty requires, or our time on earth can be wasted by being corrupt, evil, deceitful and uncaring towards mankind which is in conjunction with Satan the accursed plans.

I have come to realize and understand that if someone speaks the truth and he or she is God-fearing, there is no harm in listening. Therefore, there is no harm in following or adhering to the teaching of the Honorable Mubarik Shah Gilani. After listening to sermons by the late Martin Luther King Jr. or today’s Bishop Jakes and Joel Osteen, I firmly believe that they would not display hatred or malice towards a Muslim leader who encourages people to return to faith. Sheikh Gilani stated in one of his discourses, "I am trying to save souls from condemnation. I want people to save themselves. Even if you are not a Muslim, come back to believe in one Almighty Creator and follow the Ten Commandments". I am positive that if Joel Osteen stated these very words this Sunday morning (interchanging the word Muslim with Christian), he would receive a standing ovation by the hundreds with no thought or accusation of ill will towards him.

My purpose for writing this statement is to provide the reader with facts about the Noble Mubarik Shah Gilani, as I have discovered them for myself.

His Eminence Mubarik Shah Gilani is a Muslim who can be labeled a modern day reformer.

He has spent many years encouraging American Muslims and Muslims throughout the world to rely on Almighty God and live honest lives.

He has aided women and children all over the world by promoting social groups to assist those battered and abused and has vehemently condemned abusive behavior by men and women alike.

The honorable Sheikh has diligently spoken to his followers about the importance of educating their children and promoting higher education amongst young adults (goals that have been illusive in the minority American community for over 100 years!)

In summary his Eminence Mubarik Shah Gilani is a reformer who cares enough about humanity to encourage every individual that crosses his path or who acknowledges him as a competent Muslim spiritual guide to reform their selves by living according to God’s laws and the laws of the countries where they reside.

It is not the sheikh’s fault if individuals choose not to live up to Islamic standards just as it is NOT T.D. Jakes or Joel OSteen’s fault if their followers choose not to lead a Christian life. Almighty God is the judge.

I leave you with the famous quote by Jean Keffeler:

"Information voids will be filled by rumors and speculation unless they are preempted by open credible and trustworthy communication".

Here is your information.
